When I was growing up, my mom would always tell my sister and I before a big adventure or early morning wake up call that it takes work to have fun. Many of the most rewarding things or experiences in life take effort to get there. It wasn’t easy leaving your warm bed before the sun peaked to go load the horses but once you were up and on your way, you were sure glad you did. I’ve tried to keep this saying and attitude throughout my life because you have to be willing to put in the work to have the fun!
